This is a space for designers to experiment, play, and have fun, more than anything else. We work across icons, cursors, window decorations, color schemes, wallpapers, sound themes, and full interfaces for the open source world, more ground than people expect from a small team. If that sounds like your kind of fun, come join us.

we are

Oxygen Design is, first and foremost, a space for designers: a place to experiment, play, and have fun with icons, cursors, window decorations, color schemes, wallpapers, sound themes, and interfaces, with no pressure and no gatekeeping. We cover a lot more ground than our size suggests, working across Qt, Plasma, and Kirigami, and we care about the pixels an what is in between. If you like making things and want to play around, you’re already invited.

What we do

More than we thought ;). But here’s the short version.

"Picmi

Icon design

Tens of Thousands of icons, each one redrawn a few more times than was strictly necessary.

Theme design

Qt Widgets, Plasma, and Kirigami themes built for people who actually look at their desktop.

"Plasma

"Tablet

UI/UX for open source

Interfaces for projects that deserve better than “it just needs to work.”

Window decorations & color schemes

Every border, shadow, and gradient that makes a desktop feel like one coherent thing instead of a pile of apps.

"Plasma

"Computer

Wallpapers & cursors

The first and last things you see on a desktop, designed with the same care as everything in between.

Sound themes

Notification sounds and system chimes that don’t make you want to mute everything on sight.

"JuK

Some of the things we’re known for

Oxygen², the icon and theme set that’s been giving KDE Plasma a breath of fresh air since KDE4, and is now being lovingly rebuilt for Plasma 6 and more.
